It’s ironic to say but Harry was right—public life is the pits. (Of course a further irony is that he and his wife, like his mother, still need and court publicity.) I agree with what you wrote and I believe we need to say it over and over again: follow famous people by all means. They want their causes to be publicized, the good that they do be known. But they are owed a private life as well and any scurrilous gossip that doesn’t edify society should stop. Just stop.
